Please read the important instructions below

Art Submission Instructions

For all adult entries, we are using a registration platform called CaFE (www.callforentry.org), allowing artists to have more time for a higher quality presentation.

1. Create a Profile: Artists must create an online profile through CaFE to apply for the Hawaiʻi Nei art call. This step requires basic information as well as creating a username and password.

2. Upload Photos: Once your profile has been created, artists must add photos of their artwork to their portfolio. Species screening and initial jurying will be based on this photo. When your work samples are uploaded, they will be available for you to include in your application for the art call. IMPORTANT! Please include the Hawaiian name, common name, and scientific name for each species in the "Description" section for the piece. This is an important educational component of the exhibition and we highly encourage artists to take time to research the names of the different species depicted in their artwork.

3. Apply to the Call: With a profile and work samples added to your CaFE portfolio, you're ready to apply for the art call. Click "Apply to Calls" and then search for Hawaii Nei. When you apply to the art call, all artwork must be submitted at one time. IMPORTANT! Saving entires and changes can be made prior to submitting, however once you click the submit button, additional entries or changes can no longer be made until after jurying. If you would like to add additional entries, you will need to create another profile.

4. Payment: An entry fee of $15 per piece must be paid by credit card. Once payment is submitted, changes or additions can no longer be made to the application.
